From no blog to here: Our story

Thank you for visiting our blind life. You are wondering who we are and what can we offer you, right? Let’s not keep you waiting, then.

We are Kevin and Diana.
People like you, with dreams, struggles, and a desire to help others.
Different, But so similar. We are human, we have blood running through our veins, like you. At the same time, our dreams, feelings and experiences aren’t like yours.

Maybe you’re wondering. Why are we here? Why did we create a blog? There are lots already.
That’s true. There are so many. From fashion, to pet care. From cooking advices, to blogs about how to write a book.
And all of them help someone.

What we want is To help, To be here for you when you need us, to give advices to the best of our abilities.

Both of us are blind, and We receive lots of questions from people who meet us for the first time, even from people who know us since forever, so we decided that something needed to be done.
People had questions. We had the answers.

Wanting to share our experience about blind people and their life, we learned all we could about blogging.

“How scary is it? Can I survive if I’m blind? I will need to have a sighted person with me all the time? Can I have a normal life?

A relationship? A family?
“How do blind people use a phone? How can they use a computer? Their friends or their parents write for them?”

Probably you’re wondering this too.
That’s why we are here. If you are the parent of a blind child and want to help him, We are here to give you advices, software recommendations, encouragement and support.
If you are a blind teen looking for games and software that will make your life easier, We want to help you too.
You have a friend who is blind, or you are interested in of blind people lead a normal life? You came to the right place.

We spent weeks thinking at a name, then picked our blind life, Because this blog is about life, options, advices, choices… All we want is to be here for you.

After we got the name, We looked for a hosting site.
Let me tell you, I was driving Kevin insane. I kept sending him links with hosts, switching from one to another. Until 25 may 2018, when we finally settled on one. We fell in love with it, and with the opportunity to pay monthly 10$, it was perfect.

I loved their chat support, friendly staff and what impressed me the most was that it never took them more than three minutes to answer my questions. And believe me, i had lots of them. I think that i reached out to get help more than 8 times.

Our story

Now that you know our names and why this blog was created, we will tell you What is our goal and why we work here together.

We are in a long distance relationship for 3 years. We met on a game called AlterAeon. We were friends, Then, after spending time together, talking and getting to know each other, we admitted that we were in love.

The road wasn’t a smooth one. Like in every relationship, we needed to shatter barriers, hold tight to each other and to face our deepest fears together.

We did it. Now we know each other better than anibody, and we support each other if one of us is down. We are best friends, allies, soulmates…For us isn’t a “Will you ever meet?” Only a “When will you meet?” Soon, we hope.

We work together because we don’t want to be apart. We don’t want to beg people for money only because we are blind. If we’ll ever get money, we will do it working. And we hope that this blog will help us to earn money like other bloggers. This means work. A lot of it, we know. We will not earn instantly. And that’s okay. We are happy to work together in helping other people, sighted or not.

Our goal? Easy. we will do everything in our strength to close the distance, to meet, to have a future together.

If you want to know more about us, just ask

Ok. you told us a bit about the blog and about you, but why are we here?

What is the plan? I will get bored to read only about your blind life.
What can you offer us? There are better ways to spend our time than reading this.
If you’re asking yourself something similar, here is what We plan to offer you.

First of all, the truth.

If you ask me how can you cure blindness, I will not be able to give you an answer.

We want to help with all our heart, but we can’t tell you to mix water with pepper and sugar and wash your eyes with it. It will not cure you. We can’t heal your eyes, but we can give you the assurance that if you want to learn how to survive in darkness, we are here.

I am blind.

    • Thanks for taking the time to read and comment. We want to help others and I really believe that hope is never lost. Is there somewhere, we just need to reach deep in our soul, find it, then hold tight. Thanks again for commenting.
